<p>Students at Old Swinford Hospital have been celebrating following the publication of their GCSE results.   The percentage of results awarded at A* to C grades in five or more subjects was 95.71%</p>
<p>Some of the outstanding performances of the year were:</p>
<p>George Kuligowski from Kinver achieved 8 grade A* and 6 grade A passes</p>
<p>Alexander Willson from Kidderminster achieved 8 grade A* and 4 grade A passes</p>
<p>Peter Owen from Stourbridge achieved 8 grade A* and 4 grade A passes</p>
<p>Johnson Tam from Birmingham achieved 6 A* and 7 grade A passes</p>
<p>Billy Waddell from Wolverley achieved 6 A* and 5 grade A passes</p>
<p>Charles Sterne from Stourbridge achieved 6 A* and 3 grade A passes</p>
<p>William Harding from Stourbridge achieved 4 A* and 9 grade A passes</p>
<p>Remarking on the results, the Headmaster of Old Swinford Hospital, Peter Jones said”Once again, our hard working and dedicated students have been rewarded by achieving outstanding marks in their GCSE results.  All students, staff and parents are quite rightly proud of their achievements.”</p>

<p>Students at Old Swinford Hospital have again achieved outstanding results in A Level Examinations.  The pass rate was 97.6% of which 60% were at the top grades of A*, A or B.</p>
<p>Three students – Lauren Brain from Kingswinford, James Sheldon from Stourbridge and Leah Foley from Halesowen have confirmed their places at Oxbridge on the strength of their results.   Lauren will study Medicine at Cambridge University, James will also go to Cambridge to study Engineering, and Leah will study Biology at Oxford University.</p>
<p>Headmaster, Peter Jones, said “The School is delighted with the excellent results achieved, which continue to reflect the hard work and dedication of both students and staff and the support of parents.”</p>
<p>“We are proud that Old Swinford Hospital enables students to reach their full potential in all aspects of school life, equipping them to move confidently through to the next exciting stage in their lives, which for the vast majority is straight on to University.”</p>
<p>There were 22 students who achieved 3 or more A* or A’s, including the following who achieved 4 A*s or A grades:</p>
<p>Joel Kendrick from Stourbridge will go to Warwick University to study Maths</p>
<p>Andrew Green from Kingswinford will study Maths &amp; Physics at Bath</p>
<p>April Diviney from Stourbridge will go to Trinity College Dublin to study Medicine</p>
<p>Alex Harrold from Oldbury who achieved 4 A*s and an A will be embarking on a Physics Research Project at Birmingham University during his Gap year.</p>
