Prospect House

All Year 7 boys admitted to board at Old Swinford Hospital are assigned to Prospect House for their first year. With extra members of staff on duty, including a live-in Housemaster and two Matrons, it is a unique community within the school, providing an additional level of care and attention.

Rooms are shared, typically in threes and fours, and strong friendships soon develop that last well beyond school life.

The attentive and supporting environment of Prospect House helps the boys settle in more quickly, promoting a smooth transition from home to boarding life. It is also the perfect preparation for their move to a senior House the following year, when they will grow in independence and responsibility.
