Evenings & weekends

 When the day’s lessons are completed and before evening prep commences, the schedules are given over to the extra-curricular activities that place Old Swinford Hospital in a league of its own.

From art to archery, design to drama, cooking to clay shooting, some 45 different clubs and societies collectively provide the perfect counterbalance to the academic curriculum.

In addition, organised activities take place virtually every weekend during term time, with supervised groups heading off around the country in search of outdoor fun and adventure.

With pursuits ranging from narrow boat expeditions to quad biking, paintballing to climbing and karting to off-roading, many involving an overnight camp, our students have a genuine reason to look forward to the weekends.
