Pastoral care

While students are encouraged to become resourceful and self-reliant, the school community creates a caring and supportive environment where there’s always someone to turn to for help.

This level of pastoral care is borne of the boarding environment. There are seven Houses, each overseen by a Housemaster, who not only maintains disciplined and respectful behaviour, but also assists and supports the boys in their daily lives.

Every House also has a Matron, who ensures that House rules are adhered to and high standards of tidiness, hygiene, manners and nutrition are observed. At any moment she can be a trusted confidante, a comforting shoulder or a vocal supporter on the touchline.

The Medical Centre, located centrally on the school campus, is staffed by health professionals. Together with the Housemasters, Matrons and House Tutors, it contributes to a programme of 24-hour care for every student.
